Apply changes

Click Yes to apply any changes made. It is at this point that changes will actually be incorporated into the running system. In most casses this is all that is required and there will be no loss of service while the system restarts: on large, heavily loaded systems there may be some inconsistency in the filtering between clients as the old processes (running the previous configuration) are killed off and new ones spawned.

In some cases (changes to AD authentication details, for example) a Hard restart will be required which will result in some loss of service - the time required for the server to start serving requests again will depend on the system size but should not be more than 5 minutes or so for the largest ones.
